The challenge

A professional sports club held years of training and match footage its IT team needed fast access to. The library kept growing, filling up the local NAS, and rising storage costs made keeping everything on premium storage unsustainable.

With Cendro Archive, the club moves older footage off the NAS to low-cost, immutable cloud storage on rules the team sets. Every archived file leaves a same-name stub in place, so footage stays easy to find and is one click to retrieve when it is needed.

The challenge

An emergency medical services provider captured patient details on handwritten forms in the field. Back at base, each form had to be manually keyed into a system — slow, labour-intensive, and hard to govern against strict health-records retention obligations.

How Cendro helped

Now the forms are scanned and uploaded to Cendro Cloud. Its OCR and AI read the handwriting and form fields, extract the key details as metadata, and turn them into usable information: automatically renaming each file, sorting records by the patient’s date of birth, and applying retention rules automatically — patient records kept for 7 years, and records for patients under 25 kept for 25 years.

The challenge

A regional council was migrating its on-prem file server to Microsoft SharePoint. Partway through, it became clear the data was a mess — and moving years of old, rarely accessed files into SharePoint would be expensive.

How Cendro helped

The council used Cendro Archive to identify stale files with the access heatmap and archive them to low-cost, immutable storage, keeping them out of SharePoint. It used Cendro Cloud to extract metadata from the remaining files so they could be sorted and organised before the move.
